Wow does the two-fingers baby cpr method suck. Ouch my overstretched knuckles.

On the plus side, it's looking like I could actually manage at least a few cycles of cpr in the wild. \o/

I have it on authority that you can use the bent knuckles just as effectively and with less joint strain.

Also my last experience doing cpr on the dummies leads me to warn you to watch out for your low back the next couple days: day of mine seemed fine, and then totally went out of whack the next day. (Like in a bad way, not a muscle sore way. Tho that TOO.)

CPR is HARD. In general. When I did the MFR course they had us run single-rescuer CPR on the dummies for half an hour once. Just to show us A) that we could and B) how fucking terrible it is. They didn't tell us that's what we were doing, just had us "arrive on scene" and go through procedures and call 911 and begin, and just...didn't tell us 911 was there to take over until half an hour later. They gave us an hour off for lunch after, and I was in stupidly good shape at this point, but I was still exhausted for the rest of the day and sore as fuck the next. And yeah, even infant CPR isn't exactly a picnic. Glad I know titbit I hope to hell I never have to use it.
