taennyn: (Loki)
Lo, I return to the swamp from which I came. Briefly. =P (Dad moved us cross-country when I was four, but I was born in Maryland, so the swamp from which I came is a perfectly valid method of referring to the state.)

Which is to say I am accepting the most gracious invitation issued by [livejournal.com profile] celeloriel and [livejournal.com profile] yi_sen to visit them in their new home. Being crazed masochists, they invited a few more friends to visit at the same time. Which is to say that [livejournal.com profile] billradish, [livejournal.com profile] merditha, [livejournal.com profile] goshawk, [livejournal.com profile] klgaffney, our hosts and I will all be sharing a room for some portion of the coming weekend.

If the eastern seaboard of the united states blows up, it is Not My Fault.

I still hate the Enlightenment and the textbook I have to use for my unit in it; not least because the writer of said text is terrible at giving an overall impression of countries' scientific communities. >.<

I need to write my answer to the last question on the takehome when we get back; I stopped fifty minutes short of my maximum time when my brain fried, and as our ride to the airport has called to say he's on his way, I can't legitimately restart. Argh.

(Context keeps me from getting stabbed: "Question Four: Contrast the main features of Enlightenment science in France with its characteristics in another national setting." See above re: textbook's lacking in giving said. I'm going to have to draw off my lecture notes on 'Russia's alternate enlightenment' and the babble the professor did on French science. Argh, redux.)
