I am home. The wet and the rain and the somewhat cold strike me as much more appropriate for the season than the Water Features and Palm Trees (of death!).
I accomplished less writing than I had hoped to, which is about par for the course. On the other hand, the research library in the living room's grown by some seven books, two of them originally published before 1900. (I still find it incredibly amusing that most early recording of Russian folk and fairy tales was accomplished by Englishmen.)
The aforementioned Old Books, bought by my father in the name of my brother (who leaves his shopping until Late and who also doesn't have credit cards).
A Bright Shirt, bought by my mother at my request. (the main body is Orange. The sleeves, pockets and hood are inch-wide strip patchworks of other colours)
A bottle of Bailey's, from 'santa'
A Green silk shirt, from 'santa' (who apparently wandered through Uwajie's and said 'that's Tae's, what's it doing here?')
A portable DVD player, from my father, and a green crystal necklace that we both know I will not wear until it's been disassembled and reassembled in another shape. :)
two pairs of cat-socks and a cat book, from my mother.
four coldwater creek mugs, from my father (they are Pretty)
Several other gifts, apparently waiting at the house for a commando raid.
