I am thinking I do need a bit more shading in the central flower, though the sun-bleached look it's got now is kind of neat.

That is very pretty. I think it'd look good either way, as is not, or more tint, just a slightly different effect.

eeee, ink! (is catching up on life, so belated comment is belated). I think you may be right, the flower seems like it needs a little more darkness to it to make it stand out against the lines, but I really really love that shade of blue. ^____^
